What is callshare revenue?
Callshare revenue is an income stream
generated when users dial 0845 local rate
telephone calls to connect to the internet.
Callshare is paid on a per minute basis and
can be cumulative across many users. Typically
a reseller may have 100,000 - 1,000,000
minutes per month across all the users which
connect through that number and revenue can
range from less than £100 per month to
thousands. |

How does callshare work?
The callshare revenue is generated in a
partnership arrangement between the reseller
and Gconnect. We provide web ports which allow
customers to dial into the internet at local
rate. We pay for these ports whether they are
used or not and have to manage contention
ratios (the relationship between the total
number of users and the number ports we are
leasing) and provide individual 0845 numbers
for the resellers. The reseller provides the
0845 customers. By using a separate number for
each reseller we are able to show statistics
and pay out revenue at the end of each month.
Resellers are able to monitor their callshare
revenue building up through a control panel on
the internet. |

0845 number transfer
As a result of Gconnect using individual 0845
numbers for each reseller, it allows resellers
to amalgamate all of their users onto a single
unique number. This means that if you generate
sufficient minutes and want to lease your own
ports then all your users are in a manageable
block which are seamlessly transferred. This
obviously means that if another ISP comes
along offering a better deal (heaven forbid!)
then the same will apply. |

Ease of Use
Here's the really good bit about using
Gconnect - resellers get an 0845 number which
makes revenue tracking easy, but it also means
that the users do not have to be radius
authenticated. This means that it doesn't
matter what the username and password is so
deploying the number is simple. Also many
users can use the same username and password,
in fact most resellers use the same for every
user. So technical support becomes a breeze.
All users must broadcast the telephone number
or CLI when using the 0845 system. |

Firstly there are three payment bands which
the platform has. They are:
Daytime - 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday
Evenings - 18:00 - 08:00 Monday to Friday
Weekends - 18:00 Friday - 08:00 Monday

Callshare Threshold ? - There isn't one!
That's right, there is no critical mass
required to start earning callshare - so
Tiscali resellers can transfer in and start
earning straight away. A small IT company can
easily rack up 75,000 minutes per month and
gain a couple of hundred pounds for nothing!
There is no doubt that 0845 callshare is not
going to lead to a life on a beach in the
Bahamas, but our customers all say that they
would rather have the money as not. Also bear
in mind that if you do have customers using
0845 and you are not generating any revenue
then somebody else is! |
