FTTC SETUP WITH DRAYTEK 2830
Gconnect’s FTTC DSL service requires a router with an ethernet WAN port such as a cable DSL router or in the case of many of our customers a Draytek 2820 or 2830 DSL router which supports ethernet WAN as well as ADSL. Here are the screen grabs for the setup. Click on the grabs to get a larger version.
From the WAN menu on the left select General Setup and click on WAN2, you should get a page like the one below.
Give the connection a suitable name like ‘Gconnect FTTC’ and press ‘ok’
Now from the ‘Internet Access’ menu you should now be able to select the ‘Access Mode’ as PPPoE, then click the ‘Details Page’ button to get the screen below:
The click the details page and fill in the username and password below. Also ensure the ‘Enabled’ radio button is checked.
Thats pretty much it, make sure the BT supplied modem is plugged into the WAN ethernet port of the router.
