AntiVirus and Spam Scanning


Our clustered Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam platform uses a suite of anti-virus and anti-spam engines to detect Internet threats such as viruses and unsolicited email. Every email is processed and checked and scored for spam. If a mail's score is low enough, it is forwarded on as normal to the customer’s mailbox. If a mail's score is too high it is diverted to a dedicated spam IMAP mailbox on our server. This is the most elegant spam filtering system we have found - it needs the minimum of customer intervention but is versatile enough to deal with ‘false positives’.

Email is also checked against the latest virus signature files and any positives are immediately deleted. There is no requirement to notify the sender and recipient about positive virus hits.
